Isha Koppikar on playing a cop in Ram Gopal Varma’s digital venture

Come 2022, Isha Koppikar will be seen in multiple Hindi ventures. The actress who now has taken a plunge into the digital world will be seen in a few web shows too. One of the projects she looks forward to is MX Player’s Kadapa in which she plays the role of a cop. Interestingly, it is a project that reunites her with Ram Gopal Varma, who’s helming the show and has worked with the actress earlier in films like Company (2002), D (2005) and Shabri (2011).About the project she says, “It is inspired from a true life story. It is called Kadapa, which is the name of a place. It has been shot in the south. I play a cop called Anjani Sinha and the show depicts her interrelationships with the gang lords. So, you will see each gangster through the eyes of my character.” Apart from this web show, the actress will be seen in one more series that depicts a true life incident about a bank heist. Isha who was last seen in Kannada film Kavacha in 2019, will also been seen returning to Hindi cinema next year with Love You Loktantra (tentatively titled). “I play a CM in this political satire. It is a serious story, but the screenplay is hilarious. It gives you the Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro (1983) feels and stars actors like Ali Asgar, Manoj Joshi among others.”
