Says Rozlyn Khan about her bold shoots, controversies and more in a chat with TOI She shot to fame with her bold shoot for PETA, and the same year she declared to pose nude for the hero of the nation, MS Dhoni. Being called the next Poonam Pandey and the eye candy for many, Rozlyn Khan doesn’t care about how people react to her image that is making her world go round. Rozlyn, who was in town recently, will soon be making her debut in the film Dhama Chaukdi. What makes celebs shed clothes for various causes, Rozlyn says, “Controversies are something everyone is riding on. Even Shah Rukh Khan was involved in various controversies in the recent IPL. Every time they have a movie coming up, they try to create a controversy. What’s wrong with me creating a few of them?” she asks nonchalantly. She also doesn’t like being compared to Poonam Pandey, who also grabbed limelight for similar reasons. She says, “Poonam has done absolutely nothing. I have worked for various causes like the PETA campaign, and I have also been involved with breast cancer awareness campaigns.” Ask Rozlyn about excessive nudity in the name of social awareness, she says it only makes sense as such campaigns require visuals that will grab attention. She says, “The PETA shoot was done to create awareness about the cruelty against the animals and it required people’s attention.
So we did a shoot that had such visuals. My breast cancer video had to concentrate on that part of the female body. It was required. I am not doing it only to create publicity.” But is she fine with her image that has been created? She smiles and says, “People want to see me only in skimpy clothes. If I do something else, they will not accept me, so I have to live up to this image. It is very difficult to get out of it.”Rozlyn is also looking forward to the item number that she will be a part of soon. She says, “I am doing an item number which will be compared to Sheila and Munni. And I am really excited about it.” Yet another item star in the making we say.
