John on a new role!

doweshowbellyad=0; John Abraham (TOI Photo)Move over, Indiana Jones, here comes John Abraham! Among fans of the adventurer and action hero played by Hollywood biggie Harrison Ford in four films, is Bollywood hunk John.
He���s seen Raiders of The Lost Ark, Indiana Jones���s first vehicle, several times, and says with passion, ���I am a huge fan.��� But to John���s amazement, a bigger admirer than him of the Indiana Jones series is Bollywood filmmaker Nagesh Kukunoor.On location for Kukunoor���s new film Aashayein, they exchanged notes on the Hollywood screen character, and that���s when the
filmmaker decided to write in a sequence in the film where John plays Indiana Jones.
���Indiana Jones is my inspiration. Only after I saw Raiders of the Lost Ark, did I decide to leave my job as a chemical engineer and become a filmmaker,��� says Nagesh. Quickly, he included a dream sequence in Aashayein that has John come alive on screen with Indy���s bullwhip in hand, a fedora and leather jacket, and sling bag across the shoulder. ���I made him dress like Harrison Ford in Raiders of The Lost Ark. John was very excited and looks good in the get up,��� reveals Nagesh. John, thrilled to portray his boyhood hero, adds, ���I���m fascinated by Ford���s character.
The scene is a dedication to this great actor from Nagesh and me. I had a lot of fun playing him.���
Ford and John fans can look forward to Indiana Jones���s return to the screen first in Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, the fourth film, this month end, and then in Aashayein in June.
