Karan Vishwanath Kashyap talks about directing Akshaye Khanna in ‘Sab Kushal Mangal’

With ‘Sab Kushal Mangal’ just weeks away from release, director Karan Vishwanath Kashyap is busy giving the final touches to the film. It’s his debut film and in a recent interview revealed that as soon as he finalised the script, he went through all the actors, who he wanted to work with. Karan, who has previously assisted in films such as ‘Dil Chahta Hai’ and ‘Lagaan, ‘added that he didn’t find it difficult to convince Akshaye Khanna to be a part of the film.
He said that the actor agreed to do the film after just the first narration and said that he liked the script. Calling his film a situational comedy, Karan said that the story will definitely make audiences laugh.
Talking about working with Akshaye, Karan said that he was amazed at the changes that the actor wanted in the climax scene because they were so apt and sensible. Calling Akshaye a no-nonsense guy, Karan said that shooting the film was without any major hitch and that the team had a great time.
Adding that teamwork played a big role in ensuring there were no hiccups, Karan said that when one was honest, everything fell in place automatically.
