The post-ceremony gala of Lolo ki shaadi with Delhi-based industrialist Sunjay Kapur was one never-ending fiesta! At 3:30 pm, a ceremonial wedding cake was cut and the dulha popped a piece of cake into his bride''s mouth.

Nitin Mukesh, son of Raj Kapoor''s favourite singer Mukesh, then serenaded the guests with songs from old RK hits, while Rishi Kapoor signaled DJ Aqueel''s music to be turned off for a while.

Guests who stayed back were Pune tycoon and longstanding Kapoor family-friend Sunil Gavaskar. Unfortunately, a nail hurt Gavaskar bare feet. When a guest asked him why he was carrying his shoes, he said, "I''m now rushing out to have a tetanus injection."

Once the golden oldie numbers and the live music concluded, it was time for the bidaai. Karisma left her father''s house with tears in her eyes and boarded the luxury bus to her sasural at Kemps Corner.

The Kapur bungalow was lit up and bedecked with flowers to welcome the new couple. As per tradition, Sunjay picked up his bride and carried her inside the house, where her feet were washed with rose water. The couple, along with Karisma''s sister Kareena and Sunjay''s sister, Mandira, left for Hyatt shortly.

Later, a quiet dinner in the room and the two sisters-in-law left the couple alone. As per Sikh traditions, the newly-weds were invited by the bride''s parents for lunch on Tuesday morning.

Thus, both Sunjay and Karisma visited Babita''s house for an elaborate lunch. The couple had already planned to leave for Italy by the 1 am flight for their honeymoon.
