‘
Bigg Boss 11’ contestant and TV’s popular face
Hina Khan has hit a nerve by speaking out against South Indian actresses on national television. The actress, who is one of the many contestants on the hit reality show was quoted making distasteful remarks against the South film industry and its actresses. In a viral clip from ‘Bigg Boss 11’ Hina Khan said, “I know that they want their heroines to gain weight and flaunt their bulging figures.
I was in fact offered two films by two very big production houses which I refused since they asked me to put on weight.”
“However, I regret rejecting a South film. I had rejected a film with Venkatesh and
Mahesh Babu, who were coming together after several films. The film had two heroines and I was to be one of them. It was a super duper hit,” she said.
According to reports, these comments haven't gone down too well with
Kriti Kharbanda, who is a big name down South and is now featuring in
Bollywood film ‘Shaadi Mein Zaroor Aana’. She said that it’s very sad Hina Khan made such comments. Giving an example of her co-star
Rajkummar Rao who has gained weight for 'Bose', she added that actors have to do it for their roles and revealed that even she has gained weight for ‘Shaadi Mai Zaroor Aana’ because they wanted the girl to look like she came from a small town. The ‘Raaz Reboot’ actress went on to ask if Hina Khan has not seen how sensual Tamannaah, Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Rakul Preet, Kajal Agarwal look.
Before Kriti,
Hansika Motwani had shared a series of tweets slamming the ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ star featuring in ‘Bigg Boss 11’ for insulting South actresses.
