Krystle D'Souza Breaks Silence On the Money Laundering Case: I was scared that nobody would want to work with me (Exclusive)

Actress Krystle D'Souza for the first time addresses the sensational headlines surrounding her alleged involvement in a money laundering case. The actress, who was reportedly embroiled in a scandal involving a trading app, sets the record straight.
"When the ED news came out, I was shocked," Krystle recalls. "I thought, 'Where's the money?' I did my job, got paid, and had my bills to pay. I had nothing to hide." She clarifies that the officials were not looking for her, but rather trying to identify the owner of the trading app. "They were not even looking for me. The news changed it into something else. The officials were trying to figure out who was the head of this trading app. They thought we might have met the owner. So, we were just called to ask if we had met him personally. They were trying to catch that guy," she adds.
The ED episode, however, did remind Krystle of her responsibilities as a public figure. "I'm an actor, I had to make money. It was during the pandemic. Yes, I do realize that maybe, promoting betting and all is not safe. It should be my responsibility to not promote it. However, I also have to run a household. I have played poker online and I enjoyed doing it. I'm just telling my audience, I enjoyed playing it, you do it at your own risk," she states.
Krystle admits that the controversy left her shaken. "I was scared that nobody would want to work with me for a while. The news blew it out of proportion, claiming that I, Nia Sharma, and Karan Wahi were involved in a ₹900 crore money laundering scam. I thought, 'Where is that money?' It was overwhelming, but I'm glad to have clarified the truth."
