Lata Mangeshkar's concert on March 9

<div class="section1"><div class="Normal">hyderabad: <span style="" font-style:="" italic="">meri awaaz hi pehchaan hai</span>, a live concert by melody queen lata mangeshkar, will be staged in the city on march 9 after a gap of 40 years. lata didi, as she is known among her fans, told newspersons on friday that she was excited to perform in the vibrant city of the charminar, which was close to her heart because of its patronage to music and being a home to some of the finest musical families of the country.she had performed here soon after the chinese aggression in 1962 for charity and now for running a hospital built by her family in pune in the memory of her father late pt dinanath mangeshkar. "my father died for lack of medical facilities in pune when i was 12 years old. it was my mother''s dream that we should build a hospital to cater to the needs of poor people," the melody queen said in an emotion choked voice. the concert will feature timeless compositions of talented tunesmiths like roshan, madan mohan, s d burman, r d burman, lakshmikant pyarelal, shiv hari, jatin lalit, uttam singh, pandit hridaynath mangeshkar and many others. </div> </div>
