ETimes has confirmed that a biopic on celebrated choreographer Saroj Khan is in the works and buzz about the leading lady is now gaining steam. Recently, Bhushan Kumar had confirmed that Hansal Mehta will helm this entertainer, which will encapsulate Saroj Khan’s inspiring journey in the industry.
This project is reportedly being prepped for OTT and according to Hindustan Times, the makers have approached Madhuri Dixit to step into Saroj Khan’s shoes. They are reportedly planning to rope in a series of actors to play the role of the iconic choreographer, depicting the various stages of her life. Highs and lows of Saroj Khan’s career will also be incorporated in the narrative. Interestingly, Madhuri Dixit and Saroj Khan shared a strong bond. The choreographer had called the shots for Madhuri’s several hits like Dhakk Dhakk and Ek Do Teen. Saroj Khan’s daughter told the news portal that the team is yet to finalise the cast.
Meanwhile, Madhuri Dixit is enjoying her time on OTT. The actress debuted with 'The Fame Game' and won a lot of acclaimfor her leading rope in this web series. She was last seen in OTT movie 'Maja Ma'.Hailing OTT, Madhuri had told PTI, ""imes were different in the 90s. With the advent of OTT, different stories can be told without having to think of constraints of releasing them in theatres. On OTT the stories can be told the way you want to and you can pick subjects you want to. On OTT people watch films and series from all over the world, with different topics and that has made it possible for people here to come out and make a bold films."
