"Ranveer ka strongest draw I think is, he is all in, he does not hold it, and the transition from Jaskirat to Hamza was surprising for me and for a change I saw Ranveer so constrained, so composed (Ranveer’s strongest draw, I think, is that he goes all in—he doesn’t hold back. And the transition from Jaskirat to Hamza was surprising for me. For a change, I saw Ranveer being so restrained, so composed)," he said.
The actor added, "Aur har ek scene me har ek scene me jis mukam pe hai film I think usme I have seen a different side of Ranveer—he has done it so effortlessly (And in every single scene, at every point the film reaches, I think I’ve seen a different side of Ranveer—he has done it all so effortlessly)."
Manav Gohil says Ranveer Singh deserves the most
Manav Gohil added, "The sincerity that Ranveer has towards his craft, no wonder he is the next big thing, and it is not a fluke, and it is surely something he deserves. Like everybody else in the film, he deserves the most because he has given a lot in the film."
During the same conversation, Manav also talked about Ranveer's transformation in the movie. He said, "We started the film with him being beefed up so we shot that part first. So tabse mene jab Jaskirat dekha. He had the muscles still but it has all leaned down. I won't be surprised it was anywhere between 15–20 kgs or 10–15 he must have lost the weight and so sharp (We started the film with him being beefed up, so we shot that part first. So from that time, when I saw Jaskirat, he still had the muscles, but everything had leaned down. I wouldn’t be surprised if he lost anywhere between 15–20 kilos, or even 10–15 kilos—he must have lost that weight and looked so sharp)."
Manav Gohil on Ranveer Singh's commitment to the film
Manav also touched on the personal pressures Ranveer navigated during the shoot, including the birth of his child and production challenges that the cast had only heard about. "Aur aasan mujhe isliye bhi nahi lagra na kyuki wo daur aisa tha Ranveer ke liye ke bahot kuch ho raha tha. Ek toh itself waiting for a cinema or a film to excel and there were challenges in the film to be made jo hamne sirf sune hai hame pata bhi nahi hai and then he had a baby. Toh wo bhi uske liye bahot overwhelming part hua hoga so in sab ke chalte usne jo is commitment ko nahi chhoda — that is his blood (And it didn’t feel easy to me also because that phase was such that a lot was happening in Ranveer’s life. For one, there was the wait for a film to really excel, and there were challenges in getting the film made—things we’ve only heard about and don’t fully know. And then he had a baby, which must have been very overwhelming for him as well. So despite all of this, the fact that he didn’t let go of this commitment—that’s in his blood)."
