After
Tanushree Dutta alleged that
Nana Patekar harassed her on the sets of 2008 film 'Horn Ok Pleassss', #MeToo movement gained momentum in India.
Soon, many women came out in the open to share their horrific experiences.
Vikas Bahl,
Sajid Khan,
Alok Nath,
Raghu Dixit and more have been accused of sexual misconduct.
Amidst all of this, Tanushree's sister
Ishita Dutta recently opened up about the ongoing movement and her sister.
In an interview, Ishita said that she is proud of her sister that because of Tanushree, many women got the courage to speak up.
She added that it takes a lot to stand up and speak and she praised all the women who are telling their stories, for their courage as it's not an easy thing to do. She feels that it is upsetting for any person to read nasty posts and comments on social media over the issue. She added that there are users who have called the whole matter as fake and were saying all this is being done for publicity.
When quizzed if she didn't talk on this purposely, she said that it was not a deliberate move but she has been with Tanushree all these years and has seen all that happened. But when she saw the videos again, she relived the trauma and pain. It angered her but also made her feel sad that her father and sister had to go through all of it.
On the work front, Ishita was last seen in Kapil Sharma's film 'Firangi'.
