Milan Luthria: 'Baadshaho' is Lisa Haydon’s most challenging film yet

Milan Luthria, who recently announced Baadshaho with close friend Ajay Devgn, Shruti Haasan and Lisa Haydon looks forward to working with the free-spirited actress , calling the role her career’s most challenging yet.

Says director Milan Luthria, “I've always felt there is this sensuality in Lisa that is very different from any other actress. It is something very individual to her.Much before Queen released I had expressed a desire to work with her and we are both thrilled that it is happening.”

Says Lisa, "I have always wanted to work with Milan. I was to act in one of his productions last year, but it didn’t work out. When he came to me with the role in Badshaaho, I wondered how he thought of casting me in it. But this role is just right for me. In the film, I play a calm person with an amazing energy and I influence people."
The role which he describes as contemporary, bohemian, sensual and very emotional was custom made for the actress and will be shot entirely abroad. Lisa is soon going to start her workshops on the film and hopes that the film will provide her a platform to showcase her talent, alongside a seasoned actor like Ajay Devgn.

The actress will be styled by Payal Saluja, who has done costumes for films like Raanjhanaa and Ishqiya. Adds Milan, “As always my team works very hard on costumes and styling details. The Dirty Picture won national awards for costume and make-up. Lisa will be a delight to dress with the kind of figure and skin tone she has.” If that wasn’t all, the two meet often to discuss the film and role, given that they live just down the street from each other in South Bombay.
