1x1 polls
one day shivaji rao assumes the disillusioned voice of the people and publicly interrogates the chief minister on the pathetic state of affairs. his answer is a mocking challenge to shivaji rao-to become chief minister for a day and see what he can do. shivaji rao accepts. one man, one day, one chance is all that is required. dynamic battle of wits and fists follows. unfolding of dramatic events follows. the nayak gives a new meaning to patriotism. anil kapoor is not only the producer of the film, he is also promoting it. and with the uttar pradesh vidhan sabha elections round the corner, he plans to visit some of the main cities of up to promote this film. kapoor is trying to cash in on the election atmosphere in up where political parties are vying with each other to gain power. "nayak is not just a purposeful political thriller. it is a revealing mirror. it is an optimistic vision. it is a silent nudge to the real hero that exists within each of us. i would like to say what kind of a chief minister people want and how nayak fits in the role. the nayak who dares, who makes the difference. the film has a message and that politics can be taken as a profession by the right thinking young man. this is the catchline and it's upto the people to grab the message," said kapoor. kapoor was in the pink city on monday to promote nayak which will be released in the state on august 24. the promotion is being jointly done by planet m. anil kapoor visited planet m in the evening and autographed nayak's music cassettes. the film was shot from ladakh to kanyakumari and a part of it was shot in malaysia also. kapoor is shown to belong to qtv, a tv channel, one of the important reference points in the film. producer rathnam spent crores to create a real-life tv studio providing it autheticity. the eye catching element of the set is the control room with 500 tv sets. " i am a tv reporter drawing a princely salary of rs 3000 per month. i studied pranoy roy, karan thapar and rajat sharma on their style of presentation. i have imbibed the unassuming charming attitude of pranoy roy, karan thapar's aggression and rajat sharma's blank face which rarely reacts. its one of the most powerful portrayals of my career," said anil kapoor.
