Neil knows how to love!

Neil Nitin Mukesh, who turns 29 today, has nothing planned for his birthday and feels this year’ll be about impromptu plans
Neil knows how to love!
For the next 365 days, Neil Nitin Mukesh plans to bury himself in work. And the only day that he’ll really spend off work in 2011 is today. Neil, who turns 29 today, is planning to spend the day with family and friends, before he heads to New Zealand to shoot for “Players”.
Says Neil, “I haven’t planned anything for my birthday, but am definitely open to last minute surprises.

I’m guessing this year will be about one of those impromptu plans.”
But when it comes to his birthday present, Neil is planning to buy one for himself. He says, “This is one year that I want to gift myself something. I’m not sure what but I’m guessing it’ll be some gadget.” That apart, there are some presents that others have given to Neil which are very special for him. He tells us, “As a child, my dad had got me a bicycle which was really special. And then, since “Johnny Gaddaar” has released, I’ve got two presents from fans that are nice. Someone sent me my portrait last year and the year before that, someone had sent a letter written in blood. I thought this happened in the days of Rajesh Khanna!”
While birthdays are about celebrations and taking stock of life, Neil doesn’t believe in doing the latter very minutely. As he inches closer to the third decade of his life, he says that he has “kinda met the goals” he had set for himself and adds, “I’m thankful to God for what I have achieved. I’m not content as far as work is concerned, but I’m happy about where I am. I’m working with the best banners, and out of the seven films that I’ve done, six are with National Award winning directors.”
So, it’s only work that’s important for him right now, and marriage is on the backburner. Says Neil, “I’m not sure if 29 is the age to settle down. This year is only about work. I have a couple of projects in hand and I have blocked every single day possible. Also, to settle down, you need to find someone first!” But Neil doesn’t say that he might not be looking for the lucky one this year. He tells us, “I’m a good guy, I’m just bad on screen... (laughs). And I love the fact that I know how to love. Given a chance, I’d really show what love is to that special someone. But let me find her first.”
