No clash between David Dhawan and Vashu Bhagnani over 'Coolie No. 1'

Bollywood

. Most of Dhawan’s films of the No. 1 series, were produced by Bhagnani’s production house. Their movies were known to provide a lot of entertainment and were hugely successful at the box office. The remake of '

Coolie No. 1

' (1995), will see them join forces once again. While the original had starred Govinda and Karisma Kapoor, the reprised version of the movie will see Varun Dhawan play the titular role, while Sara Ali Khan is his love interest. This will be their

film

together.
But rumour had it that Bhagnani and Dhawan had a fallout of sorts over the casting of 'Coolie No. 1'. Apparently, the former wanted his son, Jackky Bhagnani, to play the lead role instead of Varun. However, Bhagnani dismissed the rumours saying they were “baseless”. David said that he and Vashu have known each other for more than 25 years and have always been on the same page. He, too, insisted that there are no differences between them. Besides Coolie No. 1, their films together include Hero No. 1, 'Gharwali Baharwali', 'Bade Miyan Chote Miyan', 'Biwi No. 1', 'Shaadi No. 1' and 'Do Knot Disturb'.
