Photos: Jackky Bhagnani and Kritika Kamra get candid about ‘Mitron’ as they launch their Garba anthem ‘Kamariya’

Jackky Bhagnani and Kritika Kamra brought an early start to the festive season of Navratri with their new Garba anthem, ‘Kamariya’ from the upcoming film ‘Mitro’, directed by Nitin Kakkar. The film’s lead stars brought out the dhole and dandiyas as they performed the festive track live at an event held in Mumbai city. Sung by Darshan Raval and composed by Lijo George and DJ Chetas, the song has the perfect blend of folk tunes mixed with modern beats.
At the song launch event, the stars sat down for a candid interaction with the media.Speaking about the great audience feedback they have received thus far, Jackky said, “The response to the teaser and trailer have been heartwarming and humbling.”

Moving on to dismissing rumours that the film’s title had anything to do with PM Modi's famous “Mitron...” addresses, Nitin said, “The film is based in Gujarat. The clothes and the flavour are completely Gujarati and revolve around friends. There’s nothing political about the film.”
Kritika Kamra, who will be making her big screen debut with this film after a long stint on television, gushed about how grateful she felt to be a part of the film. “I could not have asked for a better start. With the cast and the music of this film, I feel grateful right now,” Kritika said at the event.
On sticking to the nuances of Gujarat and keeping the sensibilities of the people in mind, Jackky said that their director put them on a Gujarati speaking crash course of sorts. He said, “Nitin sir was very clear that we want to make a film on Gujarat and he wanted to keep it real and not make it loud and exaggerated. I don't know any more Gujarati than what I've spoken in the film. We were trained for 20 days on the language.”

He went on to add, “We were in Gujarat for 50 days and a lot of our preconceived notions about the place were broken. Nitin wanted us to do justice to Gujarat and he didn't want any Gujarati to walk out of the film feeling that it wasn't authentic.”
Apart from the teaser and trailer, the songs in the film have been ruling the music charts. The makers have released four tracks so far of which ‘The Party Is Over Now’ by Honey Singh, ‘Sawarne Lage’ by Jubin Nautiyal’ and ‘Chalte Chalte’, by Atif Aslam seemed to have hit the right cords with the audience. Speaking about the new release 'Kamariya', Darshan and Chetas said that the song's requirement was a club number that could also be played in Garba nights.

The film which also marks the Hindi film debut of Gujarati actor, Pratik Gandhi is set to hit theatres on September 14.
