Police arrive at Rhea Chakraborty’s residence after she requests for police protection

Earlier today, actress Rhea Chakraborty took to social media to request for police protection as she claimed that there is a threat to her life and family. Sharing a video of her father Indrajit Chakraborty trying to entre their house while surrounded by a pool of people, she wrote, “This is inside my building compound, The man in this video is my father Indrajit chakraborty ( retd .army officer ) We have been trying to get out of our house to cooperate with ED, CBI and various investigation authorities to cooperate. There is a threat to my life and my family’s life. We have informed the local police station and even gone there, no help provided.”

Soon after this post, an officer from the Mumbai police team arrived at Rhea's residence, according to Times Now reports. The police officer in question reportedly belonged to the Santacruz police station after the Chakraborty family had dialed the police station to complain about the media outside their residence.


Previously, the actress had also put up a video of her building watchman Ram on social media wherein he spoke about being hit and harassed by the media. Rhea had captioned the video, "Ram is my buildings watchman for the last 10 years, He is hurt, he was hit by #media Media people have entered my building compound and hurt the security guards and my father . Is this not a crime? Who is responsible for this? Is there any law at all? Are we barbarians? #justiceforram Will the concerned authorities kindly take notice, there are children and elders living in this building too . Or is this the system we live in?”
