Politician Amar Singh, who is currently in the eye of a storm with his political career with once close ally Mulayam Singh Yadav in tatters, may be in for a rude shock.
Trade sources in Tinseltown are gossipping that Dev Anand, who had shot with him for his film Charge Sheet, may have removed at least 60-70 per cent of his footage from the movie leaving his role to a bare blink-and-you-will-miss scenario.

Amar plays home minister in Dev's murder mystery and the gossip is that Amar is still not aware of this development. What changes this incident will bring in Dev and Amar's friendship is to be seen.
A highly placed trade source reveals, "In the current political scene, it will be unwise for Dev to go ahead with a film with Amar Singh screaming out of the screen. He might not remove him completely but his role has definitely become miniscule in the movie. Knowing Amar, he might not take it lightly but what can he do, he has bigger things to worry about now, than think about movie roles and how they have turned out and how much screen time he is getting. Looks like the current situation has definitely cut short his acting debut. When contacted, Dev Anand who is busy with the release of Hum Dono Rangeen, the coloured version of his classic film Hum Dono, says, “Amar Singh is very much there in the Charge Sheet playing a very important role.”
