In their first ever live performance, Viva made Indipop history by being the first girl band of its kind to be selected from across the country and groomed by experts in every field.
Three-month-long training showing in the way they pranced about with utmost ease on stage, the girls, dressed in sparkling silver outfits created by stylist Manish Malhotra, were welcomed onstage amidst loud cheers from the crowd.
And what an enthusiastic audience it was! Lines to the gate of Modern School Barakhamba road stretched all the way from Hotel Intercontinental from 5 pm onwards.
Not one to spoil the fun, the weather devtaa obliged by making the climate pleasant. The actual performance of Viva was preceeded by acts by star performers Abbey, Alms for Shanti, Mehnaaz and Jasbir Jassi. The crowd, typically Delhi in its response, swung to the beat of Indi-pop. And then, it was time for the sounds of Viva to hit the venue. Delhi rocked to their spirited voices, perfect stage presence and a million megawatts of energy.
Enthusiasm overflowing in their movements, tense expressions giving way to confident smiles once they heard the audience cheer for them, their voices winning over thousands of fans instantly, these five girls are now stars in their own right.
A vibrant display of fireworks was finally set off to celebrate the success of Viva. Five girls, five voices, five million hopes -- tonight was when it all came true.
