Vivek Oberoi’s action thriller will leave you wanting more, say its makers
Picture this: A very savvy thief, who, having successfully executed the biggest heist in the world, loses his memory, and now cannot remember what he stole, where he hid it and why! And as if this wasn’t enough, he has only six days to live unless he solves the mystery of his own existence!
That’s how interesting the plot of Prince is, but then again, nothing less than an edge-of-the-seat thriller is expected from Tips Films, the makers of Race and Soldier.
1x1 polls
“If Race kept you guessing till the end, Prince will keep you on the edge of your seat till the last shot,” promises Kumar Taurani, the producer of the film and MD of Tips Industries.
That’s not all, there’s a twist in the story too. Prince, played by Vivek Oberoi, discovers that he has a sweetheart called Maya, but doesn’t recollect who she is. So it’s not easy when three exciting and dangerous ladies present themselves to him and each declares to him that she is, in fact his love, Maya!
“With Prince we wanted to create a big action brand in India,” says Taurani. And for that, it was extremely crucial for him to get the right team. So there’s Shiraj Ahmed (writer of Race), Allan Amin (action master of Dhoom 2 and Race), Resul Pookutty (Oscar-winning sound designer), Nicolas Trembasiewicz (editor of Transporter), Sameer (lyricist) and Narendra Kumar Ahmed (costume stylist). Then there’s fresh talent like Kookie V Gulati (debutant director), Vishnu Rao (cinematographer), Sachin Gupta (music composer) and Sandeep Shirodkar (background composer).
With Prince opening in theaters today, one thing the audience will be wondering till the end of the film is whether Vivek will be able to save himself and the world at large, says Taurani.
