A local BJP leader on Monday lodged a private complaint in a Bengaluru court against actor Aamir Khan over his reported remarks on intolerance. The 8th additional chief metropolitan magistrate court has registered the complaint and placed it for hearing on December 30.

CT Ravi virtually fought over the issue inside the House.
The BJP leader has sought legal action against Aamir Khan under IPC sections 121 (waging war against the government of India), 153, 153A and 153B. Section 153A pertains to promoting enmity between different groups on grounds of religion, race, place of birth, residence, language, etc and indulging in acts prejudicial to maintenance of harmony and section 153B relates to imputations, assertions prejudicial to national integration.
