Radhika Apte reveals she lost a film just because she was overweight by 3-4 kilos

Radhika Apte minces no words when it comes to speaking the harsh truth about the film industry. She has often talked about facing a difficult time during her initial days in the industry and a certain amount of judgement about her body type. In a new interview, Radhika revealed that she once lost a film because was overweight by 3 or 4 kilos.
Recently, Radhika had opened up about how she asked to get a nose job and bigger breasts.When she was asked if she still faces such comments in the industry, Radhika said that this might not be happening today. However, she added that in the beginning she lost a film because 3-4 kgs heavier. She also said that people made such comments about her body just because they thought they had the right.
She further said that people can now talk about such things because of awareness. She said that they can at least call them out if ever it happens and make sure that such people are out of the projects. She added that earlier there was no support system or awareness and they used to make fun about their bodies.

On the work front, Radhika is seen playing Durga, a housewife and an undercover agent in the spy comedy Mrs Undercover. She had earlier said that women-oriented subjects are liked by the audience.
