Producers Bhushan Kumar and Luv Ranjan are collaborating for the remake of the cult classic Hrishikesh Mukherjee’s 1975 comedy film 'Chupke Chupke' which had featured Dharmendra, Amitabh Bachchan, Sharmila Tagore and Jaya Bachchan in the lead. Rajkummar Rao will be reprising the role of Dharmendra in the film.
Reportedly, the film will feature the 'Stree' actor in dual roles. The script is still being finalized, while the director and the rest of the cast are yet to be locked.

Now the latest reports suggest that the actor has charged a hefty amount to lead the cast in the film.
As per a report in Pinkvilla, Rajkummar Rao has charged a whopping amount of Rs 9 crore for 'Chupke Chupke', which is by far the highest remuneration the actor has received till now. Rajkummar has reportedly hiked his fee after the success of his horror-comedy 'Stree'.
'Chupke Chupke' was the Hindi adaptation of Uttam Kumar and Madhabi Mukherjee’s 1971 Bengali film 'Chhadmabeshi', coming four years after it.
On the professional front, Rajkummar Rao will be next seen in 'Made In China' opposite Mouni Roy. The actor also has another horror-comedy titled 'Roohiafza' opposite Janhvi Kapoor scheduled for the next year.
