Ranveer Singh’s career is far from over - R Madhavan comes to co-star’s defense; more details inside
Ranveer Singh may have hit a few bumps with underwhelming films like 'Jayeshbhai Jordaar' and 'Cirkus' in 2022, but calling it the end of the road for the powerhouse performer seems premature least according to his 'Dhurandhar,' co-star R Madhavan. In a recent interview with the Indian Express, Madhavan shut down the comeback narrative and defended Ranveer’s standing in the industry. “I don’t think Ranveer Singh has ever been written off,” he said, adding, “A couple of not-so-good films don’t end an actor’s career. He’s truly good and an extraordinary actor.”Quality Over Quantity, AlwaysMadhavan went on to compare the pressure Indian actors face with the measured pace followed by Hollywood stars. “Even the biggest stars like Tom Cruise or Tom Hanks have done barely 15 films in their career. That’s the speed of doing good work,” he pointed out. He also spoke about how the notion that actors must constantly be on set is flawed. “Here, we think if we are not shooting for three months, we are losing market. But Ranveer and I don’t come from that insecurity,” he added. Madhavan wrapped up his thoughts with confidence: “It’s the media’s job to write people off and write them in.
But we don’t think we’re going anywhere.”'Dhurandhar' Brings Him Back In ActionRanveer is now gearing up to reclaim the spotlight with 'Dhurandhar', an action-packed drama that also stars R Madhavan, Sanjay Dutt, Akshaye Khanna, and Arjun Rampal. With shoot videos already making waves and a first-look reveal that generated buzz, fans are eager to see what’s next for Ranveer. Meanwhile, R Madhavan has recently impressed the audiences with his performance in 'Aap Jaisa Koi', which was directed by Vivek Soni. The movie is currently streaming on OTT.
