Ranveer Singh's ‘Dhurandhar- The Revenge’ teaser: Fans call the glimpse REPEAT with ‘No New Visuals’
On Tuesday afternoon, the makers of ‘Dhurandhar 2’ dropped the much-awaited teaser, offering a glimpse into Hamza’s brutal journey of punishment. Titled ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’, the sequel features Ranveer Singh taking on the Pak terror nexus from the inside, marking the climactic chapter in Aditya Dhar’s high-octane Dhurandhar universe that first hit theaters in December.
The teaser showed Ranveer’s character Jaskirat, also known as Hamza, continuing his mission. It included intense action scenes showing his rise in Lyari’s underworld and quick shots of Sanjay Dutt, Madhavan, and Arjun Rampal. Many fans noticed that the teaser looked almost the same as the one shown during the end credits of the first ‘Dhurandhar’.
The teaser drew mixed reactions online, with several viewers expressing disappointment over the lack of fresh footage. “This is the same. No new visual,” complained one user, while another quipped, “Scam kar diya Aditya Dhar ne teaser bol ke (Aditya Dhar scammed us in the name of the teaser).” Someone else commented, “I really thought they would show something new.” On the other hand, many fans defended the teaser’s minimal approach, calling it a smart way to build interest. “I am glad they are not showing the whole film in the teaser. I'd rather watch in theatre,” one user pointed out.
On Tuesday morning, Ranveer kicked off the promotions for the sequel by revealing its first look and official title. The actor took to Instagram to drop a striking poster, featuring him soaked in rain and glowing under red light. “Ab Bigadne Ka Waqt Aa Gaya Hai,” he wrote in the caption, suggesting that Hamza is gearing up to take on the Baloch gang and ISI in Dhurandhar 2. Ranveer also revealed the teaser’s release time and the film’s global premiere date, adding, “Dhurandhar: The Revenge Teaser Out Today at 12:12 PM. Releasing in cinemas worldwide on 19th March 2026 in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada & Malayalam.”
Aditya Dhar’s ‘Dhurandhar’, which released on December 5, is a spy action film starring Ranveer as an undercover Indian agent. The story follows him as he enters Karachi’s underworld to uncover its secret ties with terrorist groups. The movie also features Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, R. Madhavan, and Arjun Rampal, who will reprise their roles in the sequel.
