Bollywood actress Rati Agnihotri, who worked with him in many films shared her fondest memories with him including how they made a great team when they were paired as lead actors and later as senior actors in many films.
Rati spoke to BT from Polland, where she is currently stuck due to the pandemic. She said, "Chintu was superb to work with and we made a good team. We did a few films together, as senior actors and as lead actors too. We acted together in Hum Tum, Kuch Khatti Kuch Meethi, Yeh Hain Jalwa, Tawaif and Coolie."
She added, "He was an amazing actor and scenes would turn out well with him. We formed a great working team together. There was an excellent give and take of ideas and it would be spontaneous at the same time. Tawaif, he and I shared a great rapport and it was one of my best performances with him. In fact, once he had also mentioned how he had done films like Tawaif, Damini, Chandni, which were woman-oriented films and helped the future way of thinking and content in films. I am proud that I was his co-actor in many films. He was a very talented actor and truly a greater co-actor."
Apart from a professional equation, Rati also appreciated Rishi Kapoor's depth on any subject of conversation. She said, "He was also good at the art of conversation and came up with interesting subjects. In fact, he could talk on any subject so whenever we would wait in-between shots, time just flew. He was truly one of the best actors of Bollywood, truly missed."
