RGV pays homage to Hollywood horror films in his next

Hollywood horror flicks have always fascinated Ram Gopal Varma. And the director has tried to retain the essence of three of his favourite horror films — The Exorcist, Rosemary’s Baby and The Omen — in Bhoot Returns, starring Manisha Koirala, JD Chakravarthy and Madhushalini.
Says Ramu, “Bhoot Returns is my tribute to these films as I think they are the most brilliant horror films ever made in the history of cinema.All of them tell the story of a demonic child and that made them all the more interesting. And they all were successful.”
“The child has always been the integral part of all these films. A child represents innocence. And when that same child becomes a threat, it turns into a cause of fear, which is unexpected. I get very fascinated with this aspect of horror. I have attempted to do the same in my film,” he adds. Bhoot Returns, produced by Alumbra Entertainment and presented by Eros International, releases worldwide on October 12.
