Richa Chadha's 'Madam Chief Minister' to release in theatres on Jan 22; becomes her second theatrical release amid coronavirus pandemic

Political drama 'Madam Chief Minister', starring Richa Chadha, is all set to have a theatrical release on January 22, the actress announced in a social media post. The film, written and directed by Subhash Kapoor of 'Jolly LLB' fame, also stars Manav Kaul and Saurabh Shukla in lead roles.
"Proud to present to you all, my new cinema outing #MadamChiefMinister, a film I really believe in...a political drama about an 'untouchable' who rises to the top! Out in cinemas on 22nd January! Stay tuned," Richa said as she shared the poster on her handle.

The poster features Chadha with a broom in her hand, alongside Kaul and Shukla, with "Untouchable, Unstoppable" as the tagline.
The film, which is set in Uttar Pradesh will reportedly revolve around an "untouchable" who braves all odds.
'Madam Chief Minister' also features Akshay Oberoi and Shubhrajyoti in pivotal roles.
This would be Chadha's second theatrical release amid the coronavirus pandemic, after 'Shakeela' which hit cinema halls last month.
