Rishi Kapoor believes 'Mulk' is a human saga that throws light on the happenings in society

Rishi Kapoor, who stars in the recently-released film 'Mulk', which deals with the issue of Islamophobia, is known for speaking up his mind on social media. Whether it's about politics or even his son Ranbir's life, the veteran actor doesn't shy away from giving his opinions, no matter how strong they may be. In an interview with a daily, when he was asked about his film 'Mulk', the actor shared that through this story, they have tried to challenge the misguided belief that Muslims are often treated as terrorists.He also said that people should understand that not all Muslims are terrorists and though the story of the film is based on a Muslim family, it can be true for any community, as it's a human saga that throws light on the happenings in society.

The film revolves around the struggles of a joint family from a small town in India, who fight to reclaim their honour after a member of their family takes to terrorism. Apart from Rishi kapoor, the film's ense,mble cast comprises Taapsee Pannu, Prateik Babbar, Neena Gupta, Rajat Kapoor, Manoj Pahwa and Ashutosh Rana.
The actor also added that everyone must see this film because it showcases people's attitude towards each other in society.
