Rohan Gurbaxani on co-stars Ananya Panday and Shanaya Kapoor: 'Ananya isn’t leading an easy life while Shanaya is hungry for her Bollywood debut'

Ananya Panday and Shanaya Kapoor have been inseparable since childhood, sharing a close bond and a shared ambition of becoming successful actors. While Ananya made her Bollywood debut in 2019 with Student Of The Year 2, Shanaya is set to make her first big-screen appearance this year with Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan, co-starring Vikrant Massey.
Actor Rohan Gurbaxani, who has worked with both Ananya and Shanaya, recently opened up about their dedication to honing their craft. Rohan starred opposite Ananya in Kho Gaye Hum Kahan and featured in a commercial with Shanaya.
Talking about Ananya Panday, Rohan told News18, “She is extremely hard-working. She’s handling some projects at the same time. She was going for multiple shoots and was still so focused on each scene we were shooting. Someone like her isn’t leading an easy life in that sense. It’s a life where you have to be on top of the game and work harder than anybody in the room.”
He added, “She’s someone who’s also grown into that and she’s also trying to make a mark for herself. If someone has that in mind and is genuinely trying to implement it, then I have nothing but respect for that. If someone is trying to put their art out there, then regardless of the result, I respect that person.”
Discussing Shanaya Kapoor, Rohan shared, “Shanaya, you can tell, she’s hungry for her first project to be released. She is serious about how she takes her craft. She’s also learning on set and trying to find her way and her niche in this industry. But then, every actor is trying to do that.”

Reflecting on the similarities between the two friends, Rohan noted, “Ananya and Shanaya are trying to figure out how to make their mark in the industry. They come from these families and they have a lot of advantages in terms of getting certain projects. But I think that (being from a Bollywood family) can’t give you longevity. You have to try to better yourself every day. You can’t have someone else do it for you. It’s a profession where you are the instrument and the business.”
Shanaya Kapoor is currently immersed in the shoot for Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan. The actress was initially set to debut in Karan Johar’s Bedhadak, but the project was shelved for undisclosed reasons. She will also be seen in the OTT series adaptation of Student Of The Year.

Meanwhile, Ananya Panday is gearing up for her upcoming film Chand Mera Dil and is reportedly in talks for Gully Boy 2.
Rohan Gurbaxani, who was recently seen as Ayaan in Bandish Bandits 2, continues to receive acclaim for his work. He will next be seen in Metro In Dino.
