Bollywood Salman Khan recently shared his candid views on social media, discipline, and generational differences in a conversation with his nephew Arhaan Khan and his friends on the Dumb Biryani podcast. The actor admitted that life was simpler before social media took over.Reflecting on the impact of online culture, Salman described the endless scrolling through updates as a "big mind slam." He expressed how social media constantly feeds users with information about others’ whereabouts, interactions, and posts, making it overwhelming. "When there was no social media, you didn’t know who went where with whom. Now, the moment you unlock your phone, you get an entire account of someone’s activities," he remarked during the podcast's season finale.The actor also shared his philosophy on life, emphasizing the importance of living in the present and not carrying unnecessary baggage from the past. According to him, true effort means achieving results, and he dismissed the notion of people claiming they "gave their best shot" if they didn’t succeed. "If you had really given it your best, you would have got it," he asserted, highlighting the mental effort required for success.On the topic of discipline, Salman had an unconventional take. He described it as "the worst thing" because it can get monotonous. However, he encouraged people to develop a passion for challenging tasks. "You need to fall in love with all the difficult things you want to achieve... When your body says no, your mind should say yes. When both say no, you should push for one last round," he advised.Discussing generational differences, the actor admitted there are things he would never pick up from Gen-Z, including their slang and music preferences. He joked that he still listens to Eye of the Tiger, the classic 1980s hit by Survivor, while the younger generation gravitates toward newer styles he doesn’t relate to.During the conversation, Salman also playfully scolded Arhaan and his friends for not speaking Hindi, reminding them of its importance.
