Salma Khan, the mother of Bollywood superstar
Salman Khan, recently visited the revered Sai Baba temple in Shirdi, Maharashtra, to seek blessings for her son’s continued success and long life. Her visit came shortly after Salman celebrated his 59th birthday on December 27 in Jamnagar, Gujarat, alongside his family and close friends.
Salma was accompanied by her daughter Alvira Agnihotri and her family on the spiritual journey. A devout follower of Sai Baba, Salma Khan has visited Shirdi several times over the years but was unable to do so during the COVID-19 pandemic. This trip marked her return to the sacred site after a long hiatus, making the moment deeply emotional for her.
During her darshan, Salma became teary-eyed, sharing how chanting Sai Baba’s name has always given her strength and peace during challenging times.
According to ETV Bharat, Salma Khan said, "Sai Baba's blessings have always been with our family,", adding that she prayed for the blessings to continue guiding them forever.
Salma’s visit also included a special gesture by the Sai Baba Sansthan. Goraksh Gadilkar, the CEO of the temple trust, honored her and her family with shawls and Sai Baba idols. Public Relations Officer Tushar Shelke, Prashant Suryavanshi, Temple Security Chief Rohidas Mali, and Arun Gaikwad of the Sai Bhakta Lakshmibai Shinde Trust were present to facilitate her visit.
Though Salma had hoped to attend Sai Baba’s midday aarti, she arrived at the temple after the aarti had concluded. Nonetheless, she expressed her gratitude for the darshan and the warmth extended by the temple authorities.
On the work front, Sallu Bhai was last seen in 'Baby John'.
