Sanjay Mishra RESPONDS to Arijit Singh’s retirement from playback singing; says, 'Heart is so small, it becomes lonely'
Sanjay Mishra is gearing up for the release of his upcoming film 'Vadh 2'. The veteran actor is currently busy with the promotion of the movie. And recently, he opened up about Arijit Singh's retirement announcement about playback singing. The actor was asked if it feels lonely for an artist at the top. Here's what he shared.
Talking about the singer, Sanjay Mishra said, "Arjit Singh has taken retirement from playback singing. It is necessary for him. It is necessary. He wanted to sing; he sang. People appreciated him. I wanted to become an actor. Neena wanted to become an actor. She has been appreciated and still continues to be. When I die, I should not feel that I made a wrong decision. It has to be the right decision."

Meanwhile, if reports are to be believed, the singer will be making his directorial debut with an upcoming film. Several reports suggested that Nawazuddin Siddiqui's daughter, Shora Siddiqui, will be making her debut with the film. In 2018, Arijit directed the Bengali film ‘Sa’, a lyrical coming-of-age story centered on a young boy’s relationship with music.
On the other hand, 'Vadh 2' is set to release on February 6, 2026. The expectations are high for 'Vadh 2'.

Sanjay Mishra talks about Arijit Singh's retirement announcement
In an interview with IANS, Sanjay Mishra was asked if a person chasing excellence or a higher level of knowledge naturally feels lonely. He said, "Till when will you put yourself through the grind? The heart is so small. It becomes lonely. You live among so many people. Today, people might come to a big artist and tell them, ‘Sir, you are a legend.’ How will someone handle that overwhelming adulation? This is where loneliness is needed."Talking about the singer, Sanjay Mishra said, "Arjit Singh has taken retirement from playback singing. It is necessary for him. It is necessary. In a heartfelt note, he wrote, "I am not going to be taking any new assignments as a playback vocalist from now on. I am calling it off.
