Shahid Kapoor shares an unseen picture on dad Pankaj Kapur’s birthday

Shahid Kapoor took to Instagram to pen a birthday post for his father, actor-filmmaker Pankaj Kapur. Sharing a rare moment, Shahid captioned it, "Happy birthday dad". Happily posing together in the candid click, Shahid and Pankaj Kapur were seemingly clicked during a skydiving trip. Pankaj Kapur marked his directorial debut with Shahid Kapoor starrer ‘Mausam’, which hit the screens in 2011.

On the big screen, Shahid Kapoor has shared the frame with his father in ‘Shaandaar’ and they are all set to reunite for the Hindi remake of Telugu hit ‘Jersey’. Shahid and Pankaj Kapur had shot for the film extensively in Chandigarh last year. ‘Jersey’ is a sports drama and is directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri, who had directed the original Telugu movie too. The film’s wrap was announced in December 2020 and the makers are planning to release ‘Jersey’ during Diwali this year.
Apart from ‘Jersey’, Shahid is gearing up for a debut on OTT with a quirky drama series that is directed by Raj and DK. Speaking about his digital debut, Shahid had previously shared in a statement, “I loved the story idea when I first heard it and since then it has been an exciting ride so far! Can’t wait to share this series with the audience”. This yet-untitled web-series will reportedly feature Raashi Khanna as Shahid’s leading lady.
