Talking about the film, Sharib said, “Prior to working in movies, I’ve worked with the team of Colour Bar Entertainment on their first short film Mehrooni. I received a lot of acclaim for Mehrooni, till date it remains a cherished film. When Faraz Ali narrated the script of Ludo, I was hooked. Ludo has substance. The film attempts to bring about a change in mindsets towards women.”

Sharib also revealed that it was through Mehrooni that YRF casting director Shanoo Sharma noticed him and he was offered Jab Tak Hai Jaan. Ask him if women are rightly portrayed in Hindi films and Sharib says, “As long as things are in a good taste and are not vulgar, there is no problem in that. But there is no doubt that women are objectified in our films.”
Sharib disagrees with Om Puri’s claim that item songs evoke incidents like rape saying, “I think it’s a very hard statement to make. I have no problem with item songs.”

Ludo is presented by Colour Bar Entertainment in association with Spotlight.
