Katrina Kaif may be all excited about shooting at the Taj Mahal in Agra, but the ASI isn’t.
After the team of “Mere Brother Ki Dulhan” was pulled up for violating Supreme Court norms while shooting at the Mehtab Bagh area near the Taj Mahal, the Agra district administration has constituted a committee to ensure than shootings held at protected monuments in the city do not flout guidelines.

The Katrina-Imran starrer is currently being shot at the Agra Fort and members of the committee are present on the site to monitor the proceedings.
The district administration’s decision came after a meeting headed by the Agra commissioner, Amrit Abhijaat. The committee constitutes officers from the Archeological Survey of India (ASI), CISF and the police and apart from monitoring the goings-on at the shooting site, will submit its report on the “Mere Brother...” incident.According to the Ajay Chauhan, DM, Agra, “Complaints have been registered against the production team of the movie for violating the Supreme Court rules for shooting at protected monuments. The matter came light after the local journals reported the incident. After a meeting headed by the commissioner of Agra with members of the movie production team, a committee has been formed that will keep a close vigil on shooting sites.”
ASI officials, however, refused to comment on the development.
Rules flouted during the shooting of ‘Mere Brother...’
1. Security guards of the film team went inside the Taj Mahal premises with arms. After the matter came to light, the arms license were cancelled and would be resumed only after the payment of fine.
2. Petrol and diesel vehicles are not permitted within a 500 metres radius of the Taj Mahal, but cabs of the
production team went beyond the permissible limit, upto 200 metres. The cabs have been taken into possession now and would be released after the payment of fine.
3. While shooting for a demonstration scene the plantation around the Taj Mahal were reported to have been damaged.
4. NGOs from Agra have protested against blocking of the Jaipur-Agra highway during the shooting of the movie
