Reports are rife that the newlyweds Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani have also done similar arrangements with an OTT giant. However, they are not the first ones to do so. Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani tied the knot on February 7 in a lavish wedding ceremony at Suryagarh Palace in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan. The event was extremely private with just their close friends and family in attendance. Apart from a few short videos of the venue that made it to the internet, no inside pictures and videos got leaked from the grand wedding. Reports are rife that Sidharth and Kiara are planning to sell their wedding film rights to an OTT giant. However, there has been no confirmation about the same as yet.

Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivan swept their fans off their feet with their dreamy wedding pictures on social media. The celebrity couple got hitched in Chennai on June 9, 2020. According to reports, the star couple made a whopping Rs 25 crore through the sale of the rights to their wedding film to an OTT giant. Teaser of their upcoming wedding series was also unveiled on the streaming platform. However, recently reports were rife again that the OTT giant has cancelled the deal as Vignesh shared some unseen photos on social media and it didn't go well with them. The reports remain unconfirmed.

Hansika Motwani tied the knot with businessman Sohail Kathuria in a grand wedding ceremony on December 4, 2022. Hansika only shared a few pictures from her wedding with her fans on social media as she had already made a deal to sell the coverage rights of her wedding to an OTT platform for a whopping amount. The trailer of the series based on their big day is already out and it has been named, 'Hansika's Love Shaadi Drama'. The series will start streaming from February 10.

Priyanka Chopra surprised one and all after she announced her marriage with American singer-actor Nick Jonas. The couple got married at Umaid Bhavan Palace in Jodhpur, Rajasthan in 2018 with just family and close friends. They had a strict no phone and no photos policy at their wedding. It was later brought to light that the terms and conditions were set in place as the couple sold the rights of their wedding photos to an international magazine for a whopping USD 2.5 million (18 crore). It goes without saying that PeeCee and Nick's wedding is Bollywood's first heavily monetised weddings.

According to reports, the proceeds from the sale were directed to their charities.
