Singham's ban in Karnataka proves expensive

Rohit Shetty used his mother tongue in one place in Singham and it didn't go well with some locals in Karnataka.
Singham's ban in Karnataka proves expensive
Rohit Shetty and Ajay Devgn have given their fifth hit in Singham. The film continues to do extraordinary business in single screens across the country especially in Maharashtra.
However the collections from the North, especially Punjab and some parts of Delhi have not been very good because of the use of Marathi dialogue in some parts of the film.
Besides this another handicap is Rohit's decision to get one of the henchmen in the film to speak in tulu/kanada.

A trade source says, Singham's collections will be affected at least by 1 cr because Karnataka banned the film after the first few shows.
They didn't appreciate the fact that one of the bad guys speaks in tulu/kanada and some others who cannot understand the
language have a laugh. Some sensitive people raised a hue and cry and Karnataka asked for Singham to be banned after the first couple of shows in their State.
