Prateik to celebrate mom Smita Patil’s 58th birthday

Smita Patil would have turned 58 on October 17. In her lifetime, the actress was a simple person and very liberal in her thoughts. She showed interest towards her father Shivajirao Girdhar Patil’s communist leanings, but didn’t practice it herself. Instead, she chose to do her bit for society on the quiet.
Prateik, who is just finding his feet in Bollywood, is starting to show signs of taking on personal and social responsibilities as well.One hears that the young actor will visit some charitable organisations to which Smita had affiliations. A source adds, “The actor is also having a small get- together at his new home. In fact, his aunt — Smita’s elder sister Anita Deshpande — is flying down from the US for the occasion.”
