"He was out of the country for long and now he is in Kolkata. I''ll finally get to meet him — he is coming back. And no, I haven''t met Rosa (Saif’s Italian girlfriend) till now," she says. <br /><br />But the strained relationship between Saif and Amrita Singh doesn''t seem to have affected Soha''s rapport with her sister-in-law. <br /><br /><br /></div> <div align="right" style="position:relative; left: -2"><table cellspacing="0" cellpadding="2" align="right" border="0" width="32.1%"> <colgroup> <col width="100.0%" /> </colgroup> <tr valign="top"> <td width="100.0%" colspan="1" rowspan="1" style="" valign:="" top="" background-color:="" ffffff=""> <div class="Normal"><img src="/photo/947034.cms" alt="/photo/947034.cms" border="0" /></div> </td> </tr> </table></div> <div class="Normal">"Amrita and the kids stay close to my house. The negative press about her brother doesn''t affect her. <br /><br />"Obviously, as a sister, it''s difficult sometimes, but I know him and what''s going on in his life. Nothing can affect my views about him. Bhai is a fabulous actor and I am happy with the way his career his heading now," she says. <br /><br /></div> </div><div class="section2"><div class="Normal"><script language="javascript">doweshowbellyad=0; </script></div> <div align="right" style="position:relative; left: -2"><table cellspacing="0" cellpadding="2" align="right" border="0" width="36.5%"> <colgroup> <col width="100.0%" /> </colgroup> <tr valign="top"> <td width="100.0%" colspan="1" rowspan="1" style="" valign:="" top="" background-color:="" ffffff=""> <div class="Normal"><img src="/photo/947038.cms" alt="/photo/947038.cms" border="0" /></div> </td> </tr> </table></div> <div class="Normal">Soha''s currently in Goa to promote <span style="" font-style:="" italic="">Iti Srikanta</span>, the Bengali film that she''s debuting in at the IFFI. The first time Soha came to Goa was when she was ten, when her parents came to the sun-soaked land to shoot for a commercial. However, barring the beaches, the windy palm trees and a birthday party at the place they were staying, Soha doesn''t remember much. <br /><br />Since then, she has visited Goa four times. "Goa is like my personality — the winds, the beach and calmness. Just like me, so much has changed about this place," she smiles. Her début film Iti... shows her in a deglamourised role of Kamalata. <br /><br />"The idea is not to do an intense role but have a wide experience as an actress. I am very proud of this role. My first film launches me as an actress of substance. I couldn''t have asked for more," she explains. <br /><br />From Pataudi to Oxford to the London School of Economics to banking to Bollywood — life has been a merry-goround for Soha. Have her parents accepted her choice of profession finally? "Dad is not interested in Bollywood but now I am going to make him see all my hard work on screen. He has recently seen a few of Saif Bhai''s film," says Soha. <br /><br />Though Soha is among the new Bollywood faces set to dazzle audiences in 2004, she says the mere fact that she hails from a family of successful stars in not enough for her career. <br /><br />Like she puts it, "Being famous is not everything. If I do not put in hundred per cent, the audience will reject me, family background or not."</div> </div>
