Sombre Babumoshai pays tribute to Anand

MUMBAI: Amitabh Bachchan, Rajesh Khanna's co-star in Anand visited the late actor's residence Aashirwad on Friday to pay his tribute.
A sombre Amitabh reached Khanna's home after son Abhishek. Father and son stayed with the family for about 20 minutes before leaving quietly. "His (Bachchan's ) eyes were moist. He touched Kaka's feet and sat with Dimpleji," a source, present there, said.
Khanna used the term "Babumoshai" for Amitabh in Anand, a moniker which continues to associated with the actor. The late actor played a terminally ill patient in the Hrishikesh Mukherjee directed 1971 film while Amitabh played his Bengali doctor Bhaskar Banerjee.
Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan and Aamir Khan also played respect to Bollywood's first superstar.
