Sonali Bendre reveals she was unaware of pregnancy during 'Cham Cham Karta' shoot

Sonali Bendre recently shared an interesting revelation that she was unaware of her pregnancy during the shoot of the Marathi dance track 'Cham Cham Karta' in the 2004 film 'Aga Bai Arrecha'. She disclosed this while chatting with choreographer and filmmaker Farah Khan, who visited her home to prepare a delicious Kashmiri Gucchi Pulao.

Memories of the Shoot with Farah Khan

Farah said, "Sonali, we have shot a lot of songs together. We have shot Aankhon Mein Basey Ho Tum. Then we shot Duplicate... a famous Marathi song Cham Cham Karta Hai." Sonali added, "I didn't know I was pregnant when we were shooting for that song."

Pregnancy Surprise and Fun Moments

The actress recalled that Sonali appeared fuller back then, comparing a classic "filmy heroine." Responding to this, Sonali shared, "She (Farah) is telling me you married a Punjabi. You are eating food from Goldie's house. And then I found out I was pregnant. I just didn't know." Farah added, "She did the whole dance while she was pregnant".

Personal Life

In November 2002, the actress and filmmaker Goldie Behl got married in Mumbai. The couple welcomed their son in 2005.

Working with Farah Khan

Sonali expressed that collaborating with Farah was always a pleasant experience, unlike her time with Saroj, where she anticipated being reprimanded. She explained, "There was no stress like with Saroj ji. I knew she would scold me. Farah looks like she will scold but in two minutes you understand that it's all a show. From inside it's all love and she and we had too much fun".

Sonali’s Acting Journey

Sonali made her acting debut in the movie 'Aag' in 1994. After some movies didn’t do well, she became popular with the film 'Diljale' in 1996. She acted in many hit movies like 'Duplicate', 'Major Saab', 'Zakhm', 'Sarfarosh', 'Kadhalar Dhinam', and 'Hum Saath Saath Hain'. Later, her role in 'Hamara Dil Aapke Paas Hai' got her more attention. She also acted in Telugu movies like 'Murari', 'Indra', 'Manmadhudu', and 'Shankar Dada M.B.B.S'.
