Special theatre for children opens in Delhi
NEW DELHI: Focusing on children's entertainment, the Bal Chitra Manch, a theatre dedicated to screening children's films, was inaugurated here on Wednesday by Information and Broadcasting Minister Sushma Swaraj.
Katt Katt Kad Kaddu
, a Hindi film by Jayashree Kanal, was screened as the inaugural film at the Siri Fort III auditorium, which was dedicated to children on November 14.
Films will be screened for children all through the year at the theatre.
In her address, Swaraj called for more films dedicated to children and theatres for them in the capital and other cities to further motivate producers to make films for them.
Six children''s films will be screened during January at the theatre, including
Ek Ajooba
by Sunil Advani, Baaja
by A K Bir, Arun Khopkar''s Haathi Ka Anda
and Sai Paranjpai''s Bhago Bhoot
