Subhash Ghai’s film school to honour Amitabh Bachchan

Whistling Woods International, one of Asia’s largest Institutes for Film & Media studies celebrates its 6th convocation on July 17, 2013.
In its true tradition, Whistling Woods International bestows two lifetime achievement awards, titled the Whistling Woods Maestro Awards every year on its Annual Convocation Day on two living legends of Indian cinema.In previous years WWI maestro awards were bestowed on Dilip Kumar, Dev Anand, Shammi Kapoor, Shabana Azmi, Waheeda Rehman Yash Chopra, Gulzar, Jai Dev, Pyarelal, Ashok Mehta and VK Murthy.
This year, Whistling Woods is thrilled that Mr. Amitabh Bachchan has agreed to accept the first of the Maestro Awards. The second award this year will be bestowed on ace music duo Pt. Shivkumar Sharma & Pt. Hariprasad Chaurasiya. These legends will be the chief guests for the event as well.
