Filmmaker Sudhir Mishra and Kareena Kapoor Khan's collaboration in Chameli (2003) marked a career milestone. Kapoor, cast in an unconventional role as a street sex worker, delivered a powerful performance, showcasing Mishra's talent for pushing actors beyond their typical roles and blending realism with emotional depth.

In conversation with Bollywood Bubble, Sudhir described Kareena as a respectful and hardworking actress who valued the director and the process. He recalls how she would often sit separately and enjoy tandoori chicken during long shooting hours. He was amazed by how quickly she transformed into her character, especially during the song Bhaage Re Mann. He remembers her as both a professional and someone with a great sense of humour.



The filmmaker described Anurag Kashyap as a passionate and intense person, calling him a "crazy guy." He strongly believes that supporting Anurag was essential for anyone wanting to stay relevant in cinema. Sudhir also reveals that Anurag's film Kennedy was dedicated to him. He felt proud when the movie’s title was shown with a dedication to him at its screening at Cannes, which made him emotional.



Kareena Kapoor recently starred in the 2024 movie Crew, alongside Tabu and Kriti Sanon, and also appeared in Singham Again, which was released in the same year.
