NEW DELHI: After the success of
Monsoon Wedding
and
Bend it Like Beckham
, the latest in the line of ''Global Indian'' phenomenon to hit the market is
Road to Ladakh
, a surreal passage encounter between two strangers.
Made for international channel networks, the 50-minute catches the feelings of two unlikely travellers- a dysfunctional fashion model and a hard-sounding silent stranger- who meet at different points by chance on their way to Ladakh.
1x1 polls

"The film is about two lost souls meeting in Ladakh. The man is there with his goals, the girl seems to have none", says the London-based filmmaker Ashwin Kumar. Based on an ambiguous tale, the film revolves around two unlikely travellers who share few dialogues and hit a good chemistry giving the movie an interesting viewing.
Getting infatuated towards the hard-sounding stranger Safiq (Irrfan Khan), the hygiene-conscious and coke-snorting model Sharon (Koel Puri) develops an emotional bond with him.
Finding the model alone in the valley, the stranger, who is later found to be involved in terrorist activities, develops soft corner for the lonely girl and starts showing concern for her.
Refusing to consider his movie as being based on terrorism angle, the director says,"my film only gives a glimpse of terrorism which has become a common phenomenon and can be found everywhere".
The terrorism in the film meets the expected ending leaving for audience a large scope to make their interpretations about the movie.
