Sushant Singh Rajput death case highlights: Rhea Chakraborty will be sent to Byculla jail tomorrow; to spend the night in NCB custody

Investigations into the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput has taken a new turn with a possible drug angle becoming the central point of the probe. After the Enforcement Directorate and the Central Bureau of Investigation interrogating the main accused – Rhea Chakraborty, Showik Chakraborty, Indrajit Chakraborty, Sandhya Chakraborty, Siddharth Pithani, Samuel Miranda, and Shruti Modi – the Narcotics Control Bureau has stepped in to conduct their investigation into the case. At a time when the late actor’s family is rallying up fans to join various social media movements, Bollywood stars are slowly rising to stand by Rhea and slam the ‘witch hunt’ she has been facing. Rhea Chakraborty claims Sushant Singh Rajput got hooked to drugs during ‘Kedarnath’ shoot, says he made her type WhatsApp messages for drugs

According to a report in a news channel, in her interrogation by the NCB, Rhea reportedly revealed that Sushant got hooked to the drugs in 2016 while he was shooting for Abhishek Kapoor’s ‘Kedarnath’ with Sara Ali Khan. She also stated that many of his co-stars too consumed drugs with him during the shoot. Elaborating more, the report added that Sushant would dictate messages to type on WhatsApp regarding drugs and it is he who used to assure that the delivery of the drugs is done by his staff members. According to her, nobody knew that he was procuring drugs.

A man has been arrested for uploading videos on YouTube which were allegedly spreading fake news in connection with the case of actor Sushant Singh Rajput's death and defaming the Maharashtra government and Mumbai Police, an official said. The action was taken by the Mumbai Police's cyber wing against the accused, Omar Sarvagnya, after the videos were found to be defamatory and damaging the image of the state government and the city police, he said.
