Tabu reveals her success mantra

Tabu has created an unique space for herself as a heroine in Bollywood - as someone who is a rule-breaker and risk-taker with her choice of films. But the actress does not see herself in the same vein. In an interview with a daily, she says that she has never made choices aimed with the idea of becoming rule-breaker. In fact, she has never lived her life - be it personal or professional based on demarcations.If at all, her film choices are a reflection of her as a person.
Tabu is unfazed by the influx of younger actresses. She says that she has never been an insecure actress - irrespective of the fact that she was working or not working. She credits the success of her performances to the people who write such characters for her and filmmakers whose visions resonated with her sensibilities.
While talking about films that helped her grow as an actress Tabu mentions 'Kalapani' (1996), 'Maachis' (1996), 'Hu Tu Tu' (1999) and 'Chandni Bar' (2001). She was excited to work in these films as they helped her go beyond the rulebook expressions.Currently, the actress is having a ball exploring a spectrum of films - from playing diabolical characters like the one she did in 'Andhadhun' (2018) to a quintessential masala film like 'Golmaal Again' (2017).
