Sidharth Malhotra starrer ‘Marjaavaan’ was off to a flying start at the box office. The film hit the screens yesterday and team ‘Marjaavaan’ decided to surprise fans at a theatre in the city. Such was the craze for Sidharth that he was mobbed outside the theatre, as he made his way to greet the fans. Co-star Riteish Deshmukh and director Milap Zaveri had accompanied Sidharth to gauge live audience reaction to ‘Marjaavaan’.

Sidharth Malhotra starrer ‘Marjaavaan’ hit the screens yesterday and the film's core team decided to surprise fans at a theatre in the city. Such was the craze for Sidharth and co-star Riteish Deshmukh that they were thronged by a crowd of fans eager for a selfie outside the theatre. Producer Nikkhil Advani and director Milap Zaveri had accompanied the actors to gauge live audience reaction to ‘Marjaavaan’.With the help of guards, Sidharth and Riteish managed to safely wrap the post release promotions of the film.

Sidharth's popularity has translated into good figures at the box office. According to a report on Boxofficeindia.com early estimates suggest that the revenge drama raked in Rs 6.50-7 crore on its first day. The film is expected to collect a total of atleast RS 10-15 crore in its first weekend.
Directed by Milap Zaveri, ‘Marjaavaan’ features Riteish Deshmukh in the role of a vertically challenged villain while Tara Sutaria essays a speech impaired girl who falls in love with Sidharth. As the film hit the screens on Friday, it reportedly fell victim to piracy and was leaked online on the same day.
