Vidya Balan, after playing a pregnant woman in 'Kahaani', stunned us again as Geeta Bali in the trailer of Bhagwan Dada's biopic 'Ekk Albela', and is getting several accolades for her new transformation. The actress will now be seen in Amitabh Bachchan-Nawazuddin Siddiqui starrer suspense-thriller '

Te3n

'. Timesofinida.com caught up with actress to have a quick chat on the same. Excerpts:

Is your role in 'Te3n' similar to the one in 'Kahaani'?
In 'Te3n', I am playing an investigative police officer, so it's not at all similar. I am in a special appearance; even though the role was short, I did the film only because I liked the story and I liked what director Ribhu was trying to do within this genre of a thriller. I thought his approach was a little different. Also, Sujoy Ghosh was producing it. We were shooting in Kolkata. It had Mr Bachchan and Nawazuddin. I have just done the film for the joy of it.

Despite being a south Indian, many people pass you off as a Bengali. What's the reason behind it?
I have shot 'Parineeta', 'Kahaani', 'Te3n' and 'Kahaani 2' in Kolkata. I speak the language. I think that facially also I look more like a Bengali and because I speak the language, they get confused.

You speak Marathi as well...
I speak Marathi confidently when there are no cameras but in front of cameras, I begin to fumble.

Does the idea of making a biopic on your life excite you? Do you think someone can play Vidya Balan on screen?
Yes I am sure; maybe 50 years later. It's too early for a biopic. Before that I can play myself in my biopic; why any other actor should do it?
